The Diva was out flea-marketing and thrift shopping and came across a number of vintage holiday linens of various sizes, including hankies, embroidered kitchen towels and tablecloths. Most were available for purchase at between 50 cents and $1.00. There were a number of Christmas-themed linens available, and the Diva snatched these up for use as gift wrap for various holiday gifts. They cost no more than wrapping paper or gift bags, and will make colorful gift wrap for packages for all occasions. They will look wonderful tied up with bright ribbons, and you can use fabric tape or, depending on the material, cellophane tape or paper binding tape if the ribbon doesn’t completely hold the fabric together. The Diva also purchased some non-holiday linens for wrapping birthday gifts throughout the year. The gift recipient gets not only the contents of the gift package, but a wonderful vintage fabric gift to keep.
